HOW TO PROPERLY WEAR A TORTLE

Whether your baby already has Flat Head Syndrome or not, we recommend she wears a Tortle.

HERE’S HOW

  • Place beanie on your baby’s head with the support roll midway between your baby’s ear and the back of your baby’s head
  • The beanie should fit snug
  • After 2-3 hours (or after feeding), reposition the support roll in a similar position on the other side of your baby’s head (midway between the other ear and the back of the head)
  • To help remember on which side to place the roll, follow your breast feeding schedule or use a bracelet on your wrist, alternating wrists as you move the roll from one side to the other
  • Do not leave the beanie on overnight when the baby is unsupervised
  • If your baby already has a flat spot, place the beanie so the roll is over the flat spot.
  • Your baby should turn her head away from the roll, helping to reshape her head.
  • If your baby always turns her head to one side, then place the beanie so that the roll is positioned on the side of her head, close to the ear. You should notice that your baby’s head will be more upright.
