What Can Tortle Help With?
Plagiocephaly
Plagiocephaly is a flat spot that develops on one side of the back of a baby’s head, often caused by consistently resting in the same position.
Tortle helps baby’s caretaker to turn baby’s head away from baby’s preferred side, helping redirect pressure away from the flattened area.
Brachycephaly
Brachycephaly occurs when the back of a baby’s head becomes flattened more evenly, often from consistently resting on the back of the head.
Tortle helps baby’s caretaker to alternate baby’s head position while resting on a firm surface.
Torticollis
Torticollis occurs when one or more neck muscles are tight or shortened, which can cause a baby to consistently prefer looking in one direction.
The Tortle is designed to provide gentle, passive stretching support for tightened neck muscles.
*Because torticollis can have different causes and may require individualized care, we recommend working with your baby’s pediatric physical or occupational therapist to determine the appropriate positioning and treatment plan.
