Tortle Tips
Start Early
Flat spots commonly develop during the first six months of life. If you notice a flat spot or your pediatrician identifies one, addressing it early can help support healthy head development.
The Sooner You Start, the Sooner You Finish
Consistent repositioning can make a difference. Use Tortle when your baby’s head is resting against a firm surface and follow the positioning technique recommended for your baby.
Follow Your Baby’s Fit
Babies grow quickly. Check the fit regularly and adjust the side straps as needed. Move to the next size when your baby approaches the size limit.
Watch the Preferred Side
If your baby consistently turns their head in one direction, Tortle can help encourage them to look toward their less-preferred side when appropriate.
Give Baby a Break
Tortle does not need to be worn while you are holding, feeding, or actively exercising your baby.
Keep It Supervised
Always keep your baby within your direct line of sight while wearing Tortle. Remove Tortle before the parent or caregiver goes to sleep and whenever you are unable to directly supervise your baby.
